Each adventure lasts between 3 and 4 hours, depending on dive conditions and the sites selected for your group's certification levels.

Certified divers ages 10 and up pay $100 per person with proof of your highest certification level. Snorkelers ages 8 and up are welcome at $95. Reserve your spot with just a 25% deposit and pay the balance after your dives are complete.

What's included: all tanks and weights, snacks and fresh water throughout the boat trip, dock-side and onboard camera rinse stations for your gear, complimentary parking, restroom access, and on-site showers. Your guide handles all the technical details so you can focus on the underwater magic.

Highlights of Your Key Largo Dive Charter

BlueWater Divers offers flexibility in choosing your dive sites. You can explore two beautiful coral reefs, combine a historic wreck with a reef, or dive two different wrecks depending on your certification and conditions. The boat navigates these waters twice daily, meaning you'll experience different light, marine activity, and atmospheric conditions with each trip. Your guide reads the conditions in real-time and positions you where the best sights are waiting.

The waters around Key Largo deliver incredible clarity on good days, revealing vibrant coral formations, schools of tropical fish, and the haunting beauty of preserved shipwrecks that have become artificial reefs. Whether you're gliding over branching corals or swimming through a wreck's corridors, each moment feels suspended in a world that feels entirely separate from land.

On the Water Experience

Key Largo's dive charter runs from a well-equipped facility with everything divers need right there. The boat itself is designed for comfort and safety, with plenty of deck space to organize gear, relax between dives, and watch the shoreline fade as you head toward the reefs and wrecks. The ride out builds anticipation, giving you time to gear up, review the dive plan with your instructor, and mentally prepare for what's below.

The underwater environment around Key Largo is remarkably diverse. You'll encounter parrotfish munching on coral, groupers hovering near rocky outcroppings, and the occasional larger marine life passing through. The reefs themselves showcase the incredible range of coral species that make the Keys so special: elkhorn, staghorn, brain coral, and delicate sea fans that sway with the current. Wrecks provide a different experience entirely, with fish species that favor the artificial structure and the historical intrigue of exploring human-made objects now claimed by the ocean.

Visibility varies with season and weather, but the clear blue water captured in this charter's imagery shows exactly why these sites earn their reputation. On favorable conditions, you can see 50+ feet, allowing you to take in entire reef sections at once. The water temperature stays comfortable year-round, though a light wetsuit is always recommended for extended bottom time.

Plan Your Dive Day

Trips depart twice daily, so you can choose morning freshness or afternoon light. Expect to be boat-side about 15 minutes before departure. Your instructor meets you there, helps with final gear checks, and reviews the day's dive plan including depth, location, and any specific marine life or features you'll encounter. The boat ride takes you several miles offshore to reach the best dive sites.

Once at the first site, you'll do a controlled descent with your guide leading the way. Dives typically last 30-45 minutes depending on depth and bottom time limits. You'll surface, spend time on the boat rinsing camera gear if you brought an underwater camera, refueling with snacks and water, then head to the second site for another dive. The entire outing fits comfortably within the 3-4 hour window, leaving you energized rather than exhausted.

Groups max out at 6 people per trip, ensuring you get personalized attention and aren't lost in a crowd. Free parking and on-site facilities mean you can arrive relaxed and leave refreshed with hot showers available right there.
