Highlights of Our Key Largo Dive Charter

You're diving some of Florida Keys' most historic wreck sites. These sunken vessels sit on the sandy bottom surrounded by thriving marine ecosystems. Over time, barnacles, coral polyps, and algae have transformed wrecks into artificial reefs teeming with fish, crustaceans, and other sea life. The structure of the wreck itself becomes a maze of exploration—swim through corridors, around cabins, and past machinery that's been underwater for decades.

Our twice-daily schedule means you choose morning or afternoon conditions that work for you. Whether seas are calm or there's a light current, our instructor knows these exact wreck coordinates and can guide you safely through the best viewpoints. The shallow to moderate depths make these sites ideal for building confidence and improving underwater navigation skills.

Wreck Diving Experience in Key Largo Waters

Key Largo's wrecks represent authentic pieces of maritime history now inhabited by fish and invertebrates. When you descend on a wreck dive, you're entering a completely different underwater world compared to natural reef formations. The encrusted surfaces—covered in algae, soft corals, and sponges—create pockets of habitat where grouper, snapper, tarpon, and moray eels shelter and hunt.

Wreck diving teaches precision and awareness. You'll learn proper buoyancy control to avoid stirring up sediment that clouds visibility. You'll practice staying close to your guide as you navigate the site's layout. You'll develop an appreciation for how nature reclaims man-made structures and transforms them into living ecosystems.

The visibility around Key Largo wrecks typically ranges from 40 to 80 feet depending on recent weather. Currents are generally manageable, and our guide positions the boat and times the dive to maximize your bottom time. You'll see why wreck diving offers a unique blend of history, marine biology, and technical skill-building.

If you're certified but haven't done wreck diving, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in supervised conditions. Our instructor knows the safest entry and exit points, recognizes hazards, and ensures you stay within recreational diving limits.

Plan Your Scuba Dive Day

Arrive at our Key Largo location with your certification card and wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting wet. The boat accommodates 1 to 6 divers comfortably, so you'll never feel crowded during gear checks or between dive sites.

Your instructor will conduct a full pre-dive briefing covering the wreck layout, entry procedure, hand signals, and what marine life you might encounter. You'll gear up on deck with plenty of space to move around. Most divers make two separate dives on the same trip, with a surface interval for lunch, water, and rest.

We provide all tanks and weights, so you only need to bring your personal mask, fins, and any rental gear you prefer. Drying facilities and showers onsite mean you can rinse gear and freshen up before heading back to shore. Free parking removes the logistical hassle—just focus on the dive experience ahead.
