Our certified instructor guides at BlueWater Divers head out twice daily on Thursday in April for some of the best diving in the Florida Keys. Each dive charter lasts between 3 and 4 hours, exploring either two beautiful reef systems, a combination wreck and reef, or two wrecks depending on your certification level and current conditions.
Certified divers (ages 10+) pay $100 per trip and must bring proof of your highest certification card. Snorkelers (ages 8+) join for $95. The boat accommodates up to 6 people comfortably, making it perfect for couples or small groups who want a quality experience without the crowds. We're keeping things intimate and personal.
Book now with just a 25% deposit and pay the rest once your dives are complete. We handle all the heavy lifting - tanks, weights, snacks, and fresh water are included. Key Largo sits right in the heart of the Florida Keys marine sanctuary, giving you access to some of the most vibrant coral reefs and fascinating shipwrecks in the Caribbean. The water clarity here is outstanding most days, and you'll see everything from colorful tropical fish to larger pelagics cruising the deeper sections. Every dive is different based on conditions and your group's certification level - our instructors know these waters inside and out and pick the perfect sites to match your experience.
Whether you're swimming through historic wrecks where fish have made their homes or exploring coral gardens teeming with life, the underwater scenery around Key Largo is unforgettable. These aren't crowded tourist dives either - you get personalized attention from your guide and time to really take in the environment without feeling rushed.
The dive experience in Key Largo centers on exploring the incredible reef systems and artificial wrecks that make this area a world-class destination. You'll notice right away how the local marine ecosystem thrives here - the reefs are alive with activity, and the wrecks have become artificial reefs attracting all kinds of fish and marine creatures. The water conditions vary seasonally, but generally offer good visibility and manageable currents once you're in.
Your instructor will brief you on what to expect and make sure everyone's comfortable before heading down. The pace is relaxed - this isn't a race. You'll have time to observe marine life, take photos, and really appreciate the underwater landscape. Between dive sites, you'll be back on the boat with fresh water and snacks, hanging out with your group and talking about what you just saw. That's the real appeal of smaller dive charters like this one - it feels personal and laid-back while still being professional and safe.
Show up early enough to get checked in and sorted with any gear rental you might need. The boat departs for your first dive site and you'll be in the water within about 30 minutes, depending on which location the instructor has chosen. You'll do your first dive, return to the boat, rest and rehydrate for 45 minutes or so, then head out for your second dive. The whole experience wraps up in the early afternoon, leaving your day open for other Key Largo activities.
The boat setup keeps everything organized - there's plenty of deck space for gear, plenty of room to move around, and it never feels cramped even with a full group of six divers. Before heading back to the marina, rinse off with fresh water and use the shower facilities on site. Most folks head out feeling energized and already planning their next dive trip.
