Scuba Diving with BlueWater Divers - Rates & Booking

An Instructor of BlueWater Divers on a Monday in June will lead your dive charter off the coast of Key Largo, Florida. These twice-daily trips run between 3 and 4 hours depending on conditions and your group's certification levels. Certified divers are $100 per person (bring your c-card), while snorkelers are $95. Groups run from 1 to 6 people per boat, making it intimate and personalized. Just reserve with a 25% deposit and pay the balance after your dives are complete.

Every trip includes tanks and weights, so you won't need to rent basic gear unless you want to. You'll have snacks and fresh water on board, dock-side rinse tanks for your gear, and onboard camera rinse stations to protect your underwater photography. Free parking, restrooms, and hot showers are all available at the dive shop. The whole operation is built around making your day smooth from start to finish.

Ready to book? Select your date and you'll see gear rental options and dive guide assignments. If you'd like specific details about which dive sites you'll visit or have questions about certification requirements, give the shop a call before you reserve.

Highlights of Your Key Largo Dive Charter

The boat takes you to some of the Florida Keys' most famous underwater locations. You might explore two beautiful coral reefs, hit a wreck and reef combination, or dive two different wrecks - the itinerary shifts based on your certification level, group size, and water conditions that day. Each site offers something different: vibrant coral gardens teeming with tropical fish, clear visibility for photography, and fascinating shipwrecks to navigate. The guide knows these waters inside and out and adjusts the experience to match your skill level and interests.

What really sets this experience apart is the quality-focused approach. With a maximum of 6 people per boat, you're not stuck in a massive group. There's plenty of deck space to organize your gear, relax between dives, and actually talk with your guide about what you're seeing. If you want something even more tailored, private charters are available too.

On the Water Scuba Experience

The dive deck is your base of operations - a well-maintained boat with blue and white surfaces, solid metal fittings, and practical layout designed for divers. From there, you're heading out to some of the clearest, most biodiverse water in the continental United States. Key Largo's reefs are part of the longest coral reef system in the country, and the wrecks scattered offshore tell stories of shipwrecks, freighters, and deliberate artificial reefs created for divers like you.

Once in the water, expect vibrant coral formations, schools of colorful reef fish, rays gliding along the bottom, and the cool, clear sensation of Florida Keys diving. Visibility is typically excellent, ranging from 60 to over 100 feet on good days. The water temperature stays warm year-round. If you hit a wreck site, you'll navigate through passageways and explore the structure while spotting grouper, snapper, and other fish that have made these wrecks their home. The reefs showcase elkhorn coral, brain coral, sea fans, and the ecosystem that makes the Keys legendary among divers worldwide.

This isn't a rushed experience. Your guide controls the pace, points out marine life, and makes sure everyone is comfortable and having fun. Whether you're checking off a bucket-list destination or adding another dive to your log book, the combination of stunning underwater scenery and professional guidance makes every trip memorable.

Plan Your Dive Day

Arrive early to get oriented, review the dive plan with your instructor, and organize your gear on the boat. The boat can handle up to 6 divers comfortably, so if you're bringing friends or family, you'll still have a quality experience. Bring your certification card - it's required for divers. If you need gear rentals beyond tanks and weights, let them know when you book so they can have everything ready.

The trip lasts 3 to 4 hours total, which includes transit to the site, your dives, surface intervals, and the ride back to the dock. Two-location dives are standard, so you're getting multiple underwater experiences in one charter. After you're back on deck, rinse your gear at the dock station, hop in the shower, grab your stuff, and you're done - usually with plenty of daylight left to grab food or explore Key Largo.
