Scuba Diving with Pascal Van Craenenbroek - Rates & Booking

Our instructor and dive charter guide, Pascal Van Craenenbroek of BlueWater Divers, leads twice-daily scuba expeditions on Wednesday, June 3rd to Key Largo's most iconic reef and wreck sites. This is your chance to explore some of Florida Keys' most dynamic underwater environments with a professional who knows every current, dive site, and marine encounter.

Certified divers pay $100 per person (ages 10+) - just bring your certification card. Snorkelers are welcome at $95 (ages 8+). Each trip lasts 3-4 hours and covers either two reefs, a wreck and reef combination, or two wrecks depending on your group's certification level and current conditions. We keep groups intimate with a maximum of 6 divers per boat, ensuring personalized attention and quality time at each site.

Reserve now with just a 25% deposit and settle the remaining balance after your dives wrap up. We provide tanks, weights, snacks, and fresh water throughout the trip. There's free parking, on-site restrooms, and hot showers to rinse off afterward. Camera rinse tanks are available both dockside and onboard.

Highlights of Your Key Largo Dive Charter

Key Largo's reefs and wrecks deliver non-stop action. You'll navigate vibrant coral gardens teeming with tropical fish, navigate through historic shipwrecks shrouded in mystery, and if you're lucky, encounter green sea turtles gliding gracefully through the blue. Each dive site reveals something different - colorful soft corals, dramatic sea fans, and abundant marine life at every depth level.

The real draw here is the diversity. One moment you're exploring a bustling reef ecosystem, the next you're swimming through the corridors of a sunken vessel. Conditions vary by season and tide, but Pascal adjusts your itinerary to guarantee the best possible experience for your skill level. Small group sizes mean you get genuine interaction with your guide instead of being one of dozens.

Local Species Insights: Green Sea Turtles

Green sea turtles are the crown jewel of Key Largo diving. These ancient mariners are graceful swimmers that cruise the reefs and sandy bottoms in search of seagrass and algae. Spotting one in their natural habitat is an unforgettable rush - they're curious but cautious, often aware of divers before you see them.

Green turtles prefer warm Florida waters and are commonly spotted near shallow reefs and seagrass beds where they feed. During your dive, maintain respectful distance and let them set the interaction pace. Watching one navigate around coral heads or glide through open water is a moment that stays with you long after you surface.

Beyond turtles, Key Largo's reefs host elkhorn and staghorn corals, massive sponges, groupers, snappers, and schools of jacks that move like liquid silver through the water column. Night dives reveal completely different species - nocturnal fish, octopuses, and creatures that stay hidden during daylight hours.

The wreck dives add another dimension. These underwater time capsules are covered in coral and sponge growth, attracting fish species that prefer the shelter and structure. Swimming through a shipwreck surrounded by swarms of tropical fish and with sunlight filtering down from above creates an otherworldly feeling that pure reef diving can't match.

Plan Your Dive Day

Your day starts with arrival at the dock in Key Largo. Check in with Pascal, get your gear sorted, and go over the day's dive plan based on conditions and your group's experience level. The boat pulls out for 3-4 hours of non-stop underwater exploration with two separate dive sites and surface interval between dives.

Maximum group size is 6 divers, giving everyone plenty of personal attention from your guide. You'll have tanks and weights waiting, so all you need to bring is your certification card and your enthusiasm. After returning to the dock, rinse your gear and yourself at the onboard or dockside stations. Facilities include restrooms and hot showers.

Pack a light jacket - the boat breeze picks up during transit, and it can cool down between dives. Arrive early to get comfortable with your equipment and chat with Pascal about what you might encounter. The twice-daily schedule means morning and afternoon options, so you can plan the rest of your Key Largo trip around your dive adventure.
