PADI Open Water + Advanced Certification Course

Ready to turn your scuba dreams into reality? BlueWater Divers has crafted the perfect two-day certification package that takes you from complete beginner to confident Advanced Open Water diver. This isn't your typical rush-through course – we're talking about a comprehensive program that builds real skills and confidence underwater. With certified PADI instructors guiding every step, you'll master essential diving techniques while exploring the underwater world safely and responsibly.

Beneath the Surface

This intensive two-day program combines your Open Water and Advanced Open Water certifications into one seamless experience. You'll start with the fundamentals – proper breathing techniques, buoyancy control, and emergency procedures – then progress to advanced skills like underwater navigation and deep diving. The atmosphere is relaxed but professional, with small class sizes ensuring personalized attention from your PADI instructor. Day one kicks off with a detailed briefing session where you'll review your eLearning materials, followed by pool practice to nail down basic skills before heading out for your first two open-water dives. Day two builds on that foundation with dives three and four, where you'll put your advanced techniques to work in real diving conditions. The progression feels natural, and by the end, you'll have the confidence to dive anywhere in the world.

Dive Brief & Gear Info

Before you even touch the water, you'll need to complete the PADI eLearning modules – this covers dive theory, safety protocols, and equipment basics from the comfort of your home. Once you arrive, we handle everything else. Your rental gear package includes a properly fitted wetsuit, BCD (buoyancy control device), regulator system, mask, fins, and dive computer. We'll walk you through each piece of equipment, explaining how it works and why it matters for your safety underwater. The swim test is straightforward but important – a 200-meter swim using any stroke you're comfortable with, plus a 10-minute float or tread. This isn't about speed; it's about water comfort and endurance. During pool sessions, you'll practice key skills like clearing your mask underwater, recovering your regulator, and achieving neutral buoyancy. These controlled conditions let you build muscle memory before moving to open water, where you'll apply these skills while exploring real dive sites.

Marine Life You'll See

While this course focuses on certification rather than specific species encounters, the marine life you'll observe depends entirely on your local dive sites. Most certification dives happen in environments rich with beginner-friendly marine life – think colorful reef fish, curious sea turtles, and vibrant coral formations. You might spot angelfish gliding between coral heads, parrotfish munching on algae, or schools of sergeant majors defending their territory. Many students get their first glimpse of larger species like nurse sharks or rays, which tend to be docile and perfect for new divers to observe from a respectful distance. The beauty of this certification is that once you're qualified, you can dive anywhere from tropical coral reefs teeming with butterflyfish and wrasses to temperate waters where you might encounter seals, kelp forests, or even whale sharks depending on the season and location.

Plan Your Next Dive

At $999, this certification package delivers serious value – you're getting two internationally recognized certifications, all rental gear, expert instruction, and four guided dives. The eLearning component means you can study at your own pace before arriving, maximizing your time underwater. We provide snacks and water throughout both days, so you can focus entirely on learning and diving. Keep in mind that deposits are nonrefundable, but they're valid for a full year, giving you flexibility to schedule around weather or personal commitments. Once certified, you'll join millions of PADI divers worldwide with the freedom to explore underwater destinations from the Caribbean to Southeast Asia. This isn't just a course – it's your passport to a lifetime of underwater adventures. Ready to take the plunge? Spots fill up quickly, especially during peak season, so secure your certification dates today.
